"I am very keen to undergo this programme myself," said Ms. Soundara Kumar, Managing Director, State Bank of Indore this morning while interacting with the participants before the start of day two at Indore Bank Staff Academy, Indore. She told the participants that they were fortunate to be the first ones from amongst the Associate Banks of the State Bank Group to reap the fruits of this life-transforming programme.
Mr Jagat Singh Bisht, Intervention Leader -1, State Bank of India, Bhopal Circle gave a brief feedback to the Managing Director about the positive response to the programme received from all the eight venues at the end of day one. Some of the participants had shared the message of the programme with their spouses and children after going back last evening and most of them saw immense value in the contents. One of the participants shared that he had started feeling and thinking differently.
Ms. Kumar suggested that the employees should form small Citizen Clubs at their branches to carry forward the message that they get at the end of two days. We should respond to the customers with our head and heart and not only take the initiative of reaching them but go to them with flowers and smile.
She suggested two books for reading to the participants - The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch and The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Ms. Kumar said that some of us may be ignorant about how to deal with people, customers and also about our own inner selves. This programme will take us from darkness to light - tamso ma jyotirgamay.
Mr H P Rakhashia, DGM(HR), State Bank of Indore and Mr Neeraj Nayak, AGM, Indore Bank Staff Academy were present on the occasion.
Mr Arvind Paranjpe (from State Bank of Indore) and Mr Debjeet Mitra (from State Bank Learning Centre, Raipur) were the facilitators in the class.
