Touching Feedback

CITIZEN SBI PROGRAMME FOR SUB-STAFF

It was the time of getting feedback from the participants of the CITIZEN SBI Programme for sub staff conducted by me with Shri J Sivakumar conducted at SBLC Nungambakkam, Chennai on 04.02.2010 & 05.02.2010.The feedbacks of following two participants are very revealing and touching:

1) One Messenger from a metro branch told the gathering that previously if he tried to do some customer services other than his normal works, other branch functoneries used to discourage him and tell him to do only his alloted works.But after these staff members attended the Citizen SBI Prpgramme, he could find some changes in their attitudes,particularly towards him and other substaff members whenever they (the substaff) trid to help the branch customers.They are now encouraging the substaff to help needy customers in addition to their routine works.The moment he told this many participants got to their feet and endorsed his views.They told that they also found changes among many staff members after their participation in the Programme.

2) An Armed Guard told that he used to be very harsh with one of of his sons as he was not studying well. (It so happened that in the role play of father guiding his son in doing his Project work about Pollution Control, the Armed Guard acted as "FATHER".) He told the participants that after he acted as a father who understood his son's problems and guided him,he realised that though he was harsh on his son, he had never tried to understand his real problems and sort them out.He became emotional and told us that from then on he would treat his son with warmth and understanding.
