Good Samaritan finds Rs 81000, returns

BHOPAL: A businessman lost Rs 81,000 cash when the wads of cash fell of his bag. However, a good samaritan found the money and approached the police. The money was finally handed over to the owner.

The incident occured on Tuesday morning when the complainant, Ashish Harne, a resident of Shakti Nagar, had left his home riding his motorcycle. The cash was kept in the pocket of bag tied to his back. However, the zipper was malfunctioning and near MP Nagar, the money fell off from the bag.

The packets containing cash were picked up by one Krishna Kumar Dongre who works with a private company. He went to office where a proper letter was drafted and along with it, the money was handed over to the MP Nagar police station. By then the complainant had phoned the control room and informed the police station also. He received the call that the cash has been found.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Harne said that he had lost hope of getting the money back but felt happy when he got the money. "Such persons should be honoured. I am going along with my family to his residence for expressing gratitude," said Harne.
