Practising Citizenship

Intervention 2

Intervention-1, the Citizenship Orientation Programme, is almost coming to completion covering all the employees of our Bank. In this programme we understood various ideas and concepts of citizenship. We rediscovered Citizen within each one of us and learnt importance of positive contribution and the ways to flourish our individual tree of fulfillment.

Intervention-2, the Customer Fulfillment Programme, talks about citizenship in action. It explains how to live citizenship and make responsive contributions in day to day life in a unit (for example, a branch). It emphasizes the importance of individual as well as collective contribution in achieving customer fulfillment.

The programme is in pilot stage and being run in selected regions of Mumbai, Bhopal and Hyderabad circles. I had an opportunity to facilitate Unit Customer Fulfilment Team (UCFT) workshops and conduct Branch workshops in Mumbai recently.

Based on the experiences and feedbacks received in pilot runs the design of the programme is undergoing changes on an ongoing basis. This Intervention is expected to be rolled out in the month of June this year and targeted to be completed within 10 months period.
