Shri Mohanlal Siraswal, messenger at our Godha Colony Branch, Indore , is a severe asthma patient and has also undergone heart surgery, in the past.
Yesterday, on day one of Citizen SBI programme for messengers, he refused to talk at all stating that he suffers from short breath. As the programme continued, he realised that all his strength lies within and his mindset will determine the kind of life he lives! He can live a dull, morose life of a sick asthma patient or can relive the life he had in his youthful days.
He appeared more energetic today and actively participated, calling out with vigour, the fruits that Amar, Akbar and Anthony will get, which was amazing to the entire group, which also congratulated him, about the look of freshness in his face. As the programme came to an end and he was required to create a vision for his own life, he suddenly expressed the desire to sing. It was a great surprise to all of us when he closed his eyes and sang, ‘koi sagar dil ko behlata nahi’ and ‘chupana bhi nahi aata, jatana bhi nahi aata, hame tumse mohabbat hai’. The group heard him in rapt attention as he reminded us of Mohd Rafi the great singer.
He also plays many instruments and has decided to teach children to play them and thus rediscover and enjoy life.
Citizen SBI has already put him on the first step towards a more happier and lively life, which shone on his face as he bid goodbye to all of us. The spring in his movement was unmistakable!
